Blocked Application (BA)

ECn Categories > Blocked Aplication (BA)

In this category we classified scenarios where the app gets blocked (or crashes) due to a connectivity problem. This type of issue usually happens when the user tries to perform an action requiring network or Internet connection and the GUI is blocked as result of the lack of connection. The app and/or the device does not respond to the user’s commands and it is necessary to restart the app or to wait for a long time until it unblocks. We divided this high-level category into two types:

Completely Blocked (CB)

Refers to cases in which it is necessary to restart the app after it gets blocked. This case implies a crash or an Application-Not-Responding error (ANR), which means that the app stops and needs to be launched again.

Partially Blocked (PB)

It covers the cases in which the app does not respond to commands given by the user, but just for a short period of time. After waiting, the app just keeps working normally and sometimes displays a message indicating that there was an issue.
